Very strange experience. Took the trouble to reserve mid-afternoon, for 8pm. The ristorante looked very good and the staff at that stage were pleasant and welcoming.
On arrival, my table... read more at the back of the almost empty upper room, with the seat prepared facing away from the room and facing a brick wall!
The maître d’ did not seem to think this was inappropriate - “I was free to move!”
I chose the suggested menu, but when ordering, I was not advised by the English-speaking waitress that the secondo was actually the same lamb meat balls as on the primo (which was with pasta, and very good).
With the secondo, the lamb meat had a lot of attached fat, some cooking juices and a couple of small wedges of pizza bread
All up, a very unsatisfactory and boring meal, served in an odd and not hospitable setting.
The maître d’ would not acknowledge any deficiency in the setup or server’s advice and charged the full price for the meal.
Especially if solo, avoid!
